Most marketable athletes under 25

A short companion to the Index list — how we read commercial gravity among Asian and Asian diaspora athletes still under 25.

A worldwide under-25 marketability list will usually start in Spain, France, or the American Midwest. That is not this site’s job. The Medalist Index version stays on Asian and Asian diaspora athletes whose commercial case is already visible in Asia-Pacific markets.

Zheng Qinwen still sets the clearest money benchmark after Olympic gold. An Se-young shows how badminton’s top player can rewrite Korean sponsorship norms. Rose Zhang and Alexandra Eala sit in different lanes — Chinese-American golf NIL that became a tour portfolio, and a Filipina tennis breakthrough that brands in Manila noticed early. Roki Sasaki is the baseball reminder that age rules can suppress salary while Japan-to-MLB attention keeps the commercial story moving.

The ranking will move with results, injuries, and new deals. The standard should not: full names, specific reasons, and a list that matches the beat.
